Plot: Set five years after the devastating Battle of Chicago depicted in “Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” “Age of Extinction” explores a world where the Transformers are no longer seen as allies. The U.S. government, led by the CIA's Harold Attinger (Kelsey Grammer), has declared all Transformers, Autobots and Decepticons alike, as enemies. A black ops unit called Cemetery Wind, led by James Savoy (Titus Welliver), is hunting them down with the assistance of a powerful Transformer bounty hunter named Lockdown.
Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg), an inventor and struggling single father, discovers a dilapidated truck that turns out to be the injured Optimus Prime (voiced by Peter Cullen). Cade, his daughter Tessa (Nicola Peltz), and her boyfriend Shane (Jack Reynor) are thrust into the middle of the conflict when Cemetery Wind discovers their connection to Optimus.
As they flee, they uncover a conspiracy involving the multinational corporation KSI, run by Joshua Joyce (Stanley Tucci), which is using captured Transformers to create its own robots. These new Transformers, however, are controlled by the consciousness of the revived Megatron, now known as Galvatron.
