Sicario (2018) : Day of the Soldado,” directed by Stefano Sollima, is the gripping sequel to the critically acclaimed Sicario (2015). The film continues to delve into the dark and complex world of the U.S.-Mexico border conflict, this time focusing on the escalation of the drug war.
The story begins with a series of suicide bombings in Kansas City, suspected to be linked to Mexican drug cartels smuggling terrorists across the border. In response, the U.S. government authorizes federal agent Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) to escalate the fight against the cartels by any means necessary.
